Independent and IT Contractor Quick Start Package

The Quick Start package is designed to provide you with the benefits of dealing with all the little details that often get missed or overlooked in starting up a new business.  We’ve designed this package based upon our experiences working with clients and, industry observations over the years of things that can go terribly wrong.  

At Beyond Numbers our number one goal is to help you start your business and avoid any of these common missteps.  

Included in this package are:

• Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) registration for your corporation.  This would include the creation of your federal tax, GST and payroll accounts, as well as alignment of your corporate, tax and GST year ends to simplify the annual accounting process.
• Bookkeeping set up – we have tools and advice to get you started.  
• Training and tools on how to best manage your revenue, GST, expenses, bank, mileage, receipts and statements. 
• Training on expense deductibility – what is and isn’t deductible for your new business.  A clean start avoids surprises and lets you address opportunities. 
• Training for managing your GST account and key processes and deadlines.  This can be an area of frustration for folks, not to mention CRA’s heavy penalties for missed deadlines and payments.
• An introduction to the pros and cons of health care insurance versus health spending plans.  What they mean to your business, your family and advice on which approach would be best for you.
• Consultation, assessment and guidance to address your needs on insurance, legal or financial issues.
• Registration for City business licensing and/or WCB coverage*.  These can be mandatory clauses in some contracts and for these items we can also help getting you set up.

* City licensing and WCB each charge minimum fees for their services. If either of these services is required, any fees paid on your behalf would be disbursed by us as additional costs to your company.
